During this lesson we continued with modeling our buildings, I'm gradually making progress with it. I'm very close to completing the base and i have made the roof into one single mesh ready to merge with the base. This presented another problem, one that i had anticipated the roof doesn't fit the base very well. I have to reduce the roof in size and then modify the edges of the roof mesh to make it fit in the base mesh. Also i need to add detail to the roof as well, i already had ago at doing it but it didn't go as planned. I modeled half the mesh with detail and i wanted to use the mirror geometry tool to duplicate it symmetrically onto the other half of the model, but as i used the tool it only merged one vertex and then made the model wider which stretched the model, so i had to dump it and move on with the rest of the model.
I'm still in the process of trying to get the roof of the model to fit with the base and this is what i need to next, once I've done this the model will be one mesh, and then i can model the environment.
